Darnell Tenner, 30, pleaded guilty on Friday, Oct. 11 to charges in three separate incidents, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

A woman flagged down Atlantic City police in the area of Kentucky and Atlantic avenues at around 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17. She told officers her boyfriend Tenner punched her in the mouth and threatened to kill her several times.

The victim pointed out Tenner to police while he stood in front of a convenience store. He was arrested "without incident."

About two months later, a woman in distress alerted an Atlantic City officer at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 21. The woman who was dating Tenner said he assaulted her earlier that day by tying up her hands and feet, along with covering her mouth with a sock.

The victim also said Tenner punched her in the face, knocking out some of her teeth. She was brought to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Campus, for her injuries.

The woman also told officers where Tenner could be found and he was taken into custody. During his arrest, Tenner gave police a false name and tried to spit on officers.

Before the two assaults, Atlantic City police also arrested Tenner at around 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023. Officers found him in the area of Kentucky and Atlantic avenues with a sandwich bag containing a substance that tested positive for cocaine.

Tenner pleaded guilty to third- and fourth-degree aggravated assault, third-degree terroristic threats, and possession of cocaine. He was facing up to eight years in state prison.

Sentencing was scheduled for Friday, Dec. 20.
